Fouquet’s Hotel & Residences has unveiled plans for more than 40,000 square feet of amenities in Miami’s Design District. Designed by Paris-based RDAI, the spaces will bring a European-inspired aesthetic to a project combining 143 private residences with an 85-key hotel. The development will also introduce the neighborhood’s first luxury hotel and private residences.
Key takeaways
- RDAI, the studio behind Hermès stores worldwide, designed the amenity spaces.
- Features include a rooftop pool and bar, a spa with hammam and cold plunge, and a fitness center with a private training studio.
- The project will include 143 residences starting at $1.8 million, connected to an 85-key Fouquet’s hotel.
The amenity program combines wellness, recreation and spaces for socializing and work. Together, the facilities are intended to give residents access to hotel-style services alongside private residential amenities.
A broad mix of leisure and wellness spaces
Planned amenities include a rooftop pool with a bar and a separate rooftop lounge. The spa will feature a hammam and cold plunge, while a Serenity Lounge with a juice bar and a salon for on-demand services will offer additional wellness options.
Residents will also have access to a fitness center with a private training studio, a golf simulator, an entertaining suite, an executive lounge and a playroom. RDAI’s interiors use warm woods, soft green tiles, sculptural furnishings and landscaping to bring a Parisian sensibility to the Miami setting.
Residences paired with hotel services
The development will connect a 25-story residential tower to a 12-story hotel operated by Fouquet’s. Homeowners will have access to five dining concepts, as well as services such as housekeeping, pantry stocking, event planning, chauffeur service and 24-hour concierge support. The residences are planned to start at $1.8 million.
Fouquet’s, founded in Paris in 1899, will bring its hospitality model to the residential component. Its Miami property is expected to be the brand’s second U.S. hotel, following its New York opening in 2022.
Architecture and location
Pritzker Prize-winning architect David Chipperfield of David Chipperfield Architects designed the development, while RDAI is responsible for the interiors. The project is being developed by Miami Design District Associates, Raycliff Capital, Fort Partners and Constellation Hotels Holding Ltd.
Located at 39 NE 39th Street on a nearly two-acre site, the development places residents near the Design District’s fashion houses, restaurants, galleries and public art. The neighborhood’s first luxury hotel and residences are planned as a combined hospitality and residential destination.
