A significant real estate milestone has been reached in Coconut Creek, Florida, with the acquisition of 170 acres for the development of Mainstreet, a massive $1 billion mixed-use project. Spearheaded by Rosemurgy Properties, 13th Floor Homes, Schmier Property Group, and Giles Capital Group, the development promises to transform the former Johns Family Farm into a vibrant community hub.

Furthermore, 14 acres will be preserved as a wetland habitat, complete with biking and walking trails, underscoring a commitment to environmental stewardship and recreational opportunities.

Project Timeline And Impact

The joint venture partners have announced that construction for Mainstreet is scheduled to begin in late 2025. Alex Rosemurgy, CEO of Rosemurgy Properties, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting it as a "historic milestone" and the "culmination of years of collaboration." He emphasized that Mainstreet aims to create a "vibrant, walkable community" that balances new amenities with thoughtfully designed green spaces, ultimately serving as a new "city center" for Coconut Creek while honoring the legacy of the land.
