One Kane has reached its full height on the Indian Creek Waterway, marking a major construction milestone for a planned seven-story office building in Bay Harbor Islands. The 126,000-square-foot project by Taubco and Landau Properties will include private yacht slips and is targeting delivery by the end of the first quarter or early second quarter of 2027.
Key takeaways
- The building’s structural frame is complete; facade, interior and dock work are now underway.
- The project will offer eight private yacht slips and office space across six floors.
- One Kane is designed for family offices, investment firms and other organizations seeking privacy and waterfront access.
Construction reaches full height
The topping-off milestone follows the start of vertical construction in December 2025. Work is now shifting to the glass and facade, interior build-out and construction of the docks. The developers say the schedule remains on track for delivery around the end of Q1 or early Q2 2027.
Located at 9551 E. Bay Harbor Drive, One Kane is being developed by Miami-based Taubco and Landau Properties. Revuelta Architecture designed the building, Civic Construction is handling construction, and Cushman & Wakefield is leasing it.
A waterfront workplace with private slips
The project sits directly on the Indian Creek Waterway and will have eight private yacht slips, a full-time dockmaster and a dock-to-desk option for tenants. Other planned features include private vehicle access, valet parking, 24-hour secured entry and a concierge.
The building’s six office floors will each have private outdoor terraces, 11-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass. Floor plates will range from 12,600 to more than 18,300 square feet. The development is also planned to include fiber-optic broadband, standby power, impact-resistant glazing and flood-protected parking, with LEED certification.
Amenities and neighborhood setting
The ground floor is slated to house BondSt, the New York restaurant’s return to Miami, while a rooftop bar is planned to overlook the water. The site is also near Bal Harbour Shops and Bay Harbor Islands’ waterfront restaurants.
Bay Harbor Islands and nearby communities including Indian Creek, Bal Harbour and Surfside have attracted residents and firms seeking a quieter setting outside Miami’s conventional office districts. One Kane’s developers are positioning the building for family offices, private equity firms, hedge funds and other businesses looking for a high-security workplace with hospitality-style amenities.
