Miami-Dade County is seeing a significant development in affordable housing with the launch of Cottage Grove, the first new manufactured home community in over three decades. This project aims to provide a much-needed pathway to homeownership for middle and working-class families who have been priced out of the traditional housing market.

This initiative comes at a crucial time, as Miami’s housing market continues to see soaring prices with luxury condo towers proliferating and the median sales price for a single-family home surpassing $670,000.

Addressing a Growing Need

RHP Properties highlights that over 1,100 manufactured housing sites have been removed or are slated for removal in the past year due to redevelopment. "This new housing supply is coming at a time when it is most needed," stated RHP CEO Ross Partrich. "Cottage Grove provides a path to homeownership in Miami-Dade County at a price point that is otherwise difficult to achieve, while replacing capacity that has been lost to redevelopment."

Residents of Cottage Grove will have access to a range of amenities designed to foster a vibrant community lifestyle. These include:

  • A clubhouse
  • A fitness center
  • Dedicated yoga and lounge rooms
  • Biking and walking trails

  • A playground
  • Numerous green spaces
  • A gated entrance for enhanced security

A model home is scheduled to open for tours in June, with the first homes expected to be available for purchase by mid-summer.
