The developers of The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale, have revealed plans for The Bahia Mar Club, a private waterfront retreat for homeowners. The proposed 24-hour destination will pair outdoor recreation and wellness spaces with St. Regis service, as part of a planned $2 billion mixed-use development at Bahia Mar.
Key takeaways
- The Bahia Mar Club is planned exclusively for residents of The Residences.
- Proposed features include tennis and padel courts, a lap pool, gardens, a clubhouse and a sunset terrace.
- The wider 40-acre project is planned to include homes, a St. Regis hotel, resort residences, a marina and retail and dining spaces.
- Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with delivery anticipated in 2030.
A private outdoor club by the water
The Related Group, Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions say the club will give residents direct access to a curated outdoor setting near the marina and waterfront. The concept centers on wellness, recreation and gathering, with spaces intended for different generations and activities throughout the day. EDSA, an international landscape architecture firm, is designing the grounds.
Plans call for tennis and padel courts with a viewing gallery, plus a St. Regis-serviced clubhouse beside a lap pool. Other proposed amenities include a private lawn for yoga and tai chi, a summer kitchen and social patio, a serenity garden, a children’s playground and a terrace with fire pits overlooking the water.
Part of a larger residential and resort plan
The club will complement a planned 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities at The Residences, including a spa, fitness center, private dining room, billiards lounge and children’s entertainment room. The larger development is planned for 40 acres and includes a 78-home residential tower and a 122-key hotel with 106 resort residences, all under the St. Regis brand.
Project plans also include a 250-slip deepwater marina designed to accommodate yachts up to 350 feet, Marina Village, a beach club and commercial space for dining and shopping. Arquitectonica is leading the architecture, with interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners.
Sales and schedule
Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the project’s exclusive sales and marketing agent. According to the announcement, private residences start at $4.9 million, while resort residences start at $3 million. Construction is expected to start in 2027, with completion anticipated in 2030; these are projected dates and remain subject to change.
The development uses the St. Regis marks under license. Marriott International and its affiliates are not the project’s owner, developer or seller, and the announcement states that Marriott has not verified its representations.
