Landau Properties, in partnership with Taubco, is advancing its ambitious waterfront office project, One Kane, in Bay Harbor Islands. Vertical construction is now underway, marking a significant milestone for the 126,000-square-foot Class A+ development. Designed to cater to the evolving needs of Miami’s affluent professional community, One Kane aims to offer a unique blend of privacy, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and exclusive hospitality.

Key Takeaways

  • Vertical construction has commenced on One Kane, a 126,000-square-foot Class A+ waterfront office building.
  • The development is a collaboration between Miami-based Taubco and New York-based Landau Properties.
  • One Kane is designed to meet the specific needs of Miami’s high-net-worth professionals seeking privacy and premium amenities.
  • Completion is anticipated in early 2027.

A New Standard for Corporate Flagships

One Kane, located at 9551 E. Bay Harbor Drive, is poised to redefine the corporate office experience in South Florida. Following the completion of two stories of concealed parking, the building will feature a private elevator lobby, direct yacht slip access to office spaces, and an on-site BondSt restaurant. This development offers a distinct alternative to the bustling urban core of Miami, providing a serene yet sophisticated environment within the exclusive Bay Harbor Islands.

Designed for Discerning Executives

Jonathan Landau, CEO of Landau Properties, highlighted the project’s focus on a modern business lifestyle that blends innovation with privacy. "Executives who already live or are looking at residential options in Bay Harbor Islands, Indian Creek, Bal Harbor, Surfside and similar communities now have the opportunity to walk, drive or dock directly at their business address, an experience offered nowhere else in Miami," he stated.

Laura Tauber, Principal and Managing Director at Taubco, added, "Miami has transitioned into a global center for capital and influence… One Kane meets the demand and vision of domestic and international executives that seek discretion, luxurious amenities, and onsite hospitality within an exceptional and unequalled corporate setting."

Waterfront Amenities and Advanced Infrastructure

Leveraging its prime location on the Indian Creek Waterway, One Kane will offer eight private yacht slips managed by a full-time Dockmaster, facilitating a seamless "dock-to-desk" commute. The building’s design prioritizes privacy, optimal infrastructure, and impeccable amenities. Each of the six stories will feature:

  • Private outdoor terraces accessible from every office.
  • Soaring 11-foot ceilings.
  • Floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive waterway views.
  • Full floor opportunities ranging from 12,600 to over 18,300 square feet.

Technologically, One Kane will be equipped with seamless fiber-optic broadband, redundant full-service generators for 100% standby power, advanced AI security, impact-resistant glazing, and flood-protected subterranean parking. The development is also LEED-designed, emphasizing efficiency and indoor quality.

An Exclusive Community and Culinary Destination

One Kane is crafted to serve as a prestigious hub for family offices, hedge funds, private equity firms, and other high-confidentiality professional firms. Its location places it steps away from Bal Harbour Shops and luxury retail, yet maintains a sense of seclusion. The development will also host the acclaimed New York-based restaurant BondSt, complete with a ground-floor presence and a rooftop bar offering panoramic views. This integration includes priority reservations, event activations, and in-office private dining, enhancing the daily office experience with a hospitality-first approach.
