The RealReal is relocating its Palm Beach County presence from Worth Avenue to downtown West Palm Beach. The luxury consignment company will open a larger 2,100-square-foot boutique at CityPlace on Aug. 13, while its Palm Beach store will close as the business shifts toward a new setting for resale, shopping and luxury services.
Key takeaways
- The new store will open Aug. 13 at 700 S. Rosemary Ave., Suite 136.
- The RealReal’s location at 331 Worth Ave. will close when the West Palm Beach boutique opens.
- The store will offer luxury consignment, authentication, appraisals and private-viewing appointments.
- Opening promotions include beverages and a $100 same-day shopping credit for some consignors.
The move represents a relocation rather than an expansion of The RealReal’s local retail footprint. The company has operated on Worth Avenue since 2021 and said closing that location will help ensure a smooth transition to CityPlace.
What shoppers can expect
The new boutique will carry authenticated, pre-owned luxury goods, including men’s and women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry, shoes, home goods and art. Frequently represented brands include Prada, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Gucci and Saint Laurent.
Customers will be able to receive concierge-style shopping assistance, while people looking to sell luxury items can use authentication and appraisal services. Appointments will also be available for private viewings of high-value pieces, such as rare handbags and luxury watches.
The store’s regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. During the Aug. 13 opening, shoppers will receive free beverages from nearby Maman. From Aug. 13 through Aug. 15, guests who consign an accepted item will receive a $100 credit for in-store purchases made the same day.
A new addition to CityPlace
The RealReal will become one of 18 company locations nationwide and joins a growing collection of upscale retailers, restaurants and lifestyle brands at CityPlace. Recent additions include Fuku, Evereve, Rivian, Alo, Reformation, Rothy’s, PopUp Bagels and Sunlife Organics.
Related Ross, the development’s owner, described The RealReal as a natural fit for CityPlace’s mix of discovery, sustainability and personalized service. The company is also planning additional openings, including Little Ruby’s, Moscot Eyewear, BuddhaBerry and Ela Curry Kitchen, which are expected this fall.
Why the move matters
The relocation places The RealReal in downtown West Palm Beach’s increasingly active retail district while maintaining access to the broader South Florida luxury market. Company President and CEO Rati Sahi Levesque said the region remains a major priority and that the new store will connect the convenience of the company’s online marketplace with in-person expertise.
For local customers, the change means continued access to The RealReal’s resale and luxury services, but in a new neighborhood just west of Palm Beach. The Worth Avenue storefront will no longer operate once the CityPlace boutique opens.
